Folly Lane, sort out some music in soundtrack pro. Will probably have to rent out a harddrive so I can edit at Media Centre. Finish off filming.
Pick ups: Shot of me selecting music to put on, shot of my face nodding because it’s awesome.

Wednesday
Print out storyboard templates and find out what other paper work needs to get done.

Thursday
Begin editing and adding sound and effects.

Friday
Be a total fucking badass.

It’s a bit late now but I got everything finished and handed in. I frantically edited it all together and sorted out sound in two days and I think it came out pretty well.

Now I must finish this other bastard thing.

First off, I have edited up the footage I got from the last filming session so that I have less to do on Monday (the day before the deadline).

This is once again more for my benefit than anyone elses.

I shall text the actors and tell them where to meet me and ask if they can get any extras to show up for the fight scene outside MJ’s. If they can find people then I will get them to meet us around 7 to half 7.

Before that however I will shoot the final scene. I will have to take them all to my place, (I may need to get a parent or sister to transport some of them) shoot the scene, then ferry them all back to town. People needed: Jack, Bron, Justyn, mugger guy and Chris

Hopefully we will have finished filming by 7 o’clock so that we can shoot the scene outside MJ’s. I will need 3 extra’s and someone to play the crew member that gets in the fight. People needed: Jack, Bron, 3 extra’s, One person to play Crew Member (hopefully Jack can get them all).

(3) After we are finished with that we will follow Bron to the area where we can shoot the first scene. Jack, Bron, mugger guy.

Hopefully this will all go to plan!

Yup. Sure has.

We got literally got half of the film finished today, only took about an hour and a half. I had my lovely assitant Sam filming for me and he got some wicked shots.

The actors were great too, getting everything spot on and worked really quickly too.

Only problem was that I wanted to shoot the final scene today but I totally forgot to replace Chris with someone else to play the mugger! We couldn’t find anyone else at the time so we had to save it for next time.

We are thinking of filming on Friday and/or Sunday. I have to get permission from JJ at Mamma Jammas tonight to film outside his pub which shouldn’t be hard. I think this will be fun!

Deadline is the 31st of May so it will be tight! I will edit as quickly as possible and for the whole day if I have to!

Ok, I now have actors to play in my 5 minute film. They’re pretty fucking good ones too.
Gotta think about time frames now though.
Day One: Scene’s 2, 4, 5 and 6 could hopefully all be done in one day. The only problem is that I will need to get it done around 7 o’clock and on a sunny day. I need the sun to be going down but not dark so I’m going to have to be quick. I will need the sun for filming scene 2.
Actors needed: Jack (Jeff), Bron (Jess), Justin (Crew member A), me (Crew member B) and Chris (mugger).

Day Two: If all goes to plan and I am able to get all of the shots I need from Day One then only scene 1 and 3 will need to be done. Once again I will have to try time it right so that we have some sun but still make it obvious that it’s late. I’ll have to get permission from the respective bar owners to film near their establishments but it should be fine.
Actors needed: Jack (Jeff), John (Fighting crew member) and 3 extras.

Ok so I need to figure out some things regarding the two projects. This is yet more note taking and is more for my benefit than all zero of you reading these updates.

I have officially decided to go to the casting session on the 5th of May to get some actors as I cannot rely on friends showing up to play the parts in my 5 minute film. But hey, it’ll probably turn out a lot better since the performance arts people will know what they are doing with expressions and acting as a whole.

As for the Apocalypse film stuff, I have started filming for that now. It is starring myself and I have started with the film noir element because of the amazing fact that I could record in my own room. Fantastic. I haven’t had much experience acting and do not wish to continue with it but this way I can be sure I will get the shots that I want. Also, being a one person film with nearly no dialouge, it shouldn’t be hard to get all the shots I want.

LAST TIME ON ‘APOCALYPSE FILM IDEA THINKING OF AND STUFF’

Main idea.

I think the first part will be a music video. I’ll probably try find a local band to record some shots with. What I am thinking for the first scene is having the main character walking along listening to this band while imagining the band playing, all of which will be in a typical music video style. Now I have an idea of how he becomes deaf but I am not sure if I will be able to pull it off. I am thinking of having an explosion go off near him while he is going too over the top thinking about this music video. I will either think of a reason for this explosion happening or figure out a different way for him to become deaf later. In the next scene he will wake up in a “hospital” and a doctor will tell him that he has gone deaf.

Ok well I think it’s time to continue this now. Initital ideas are that he goes deaf just by listening to the music. I have thought about it over and over and there is just no other feasable way of making him deaf in this time frame (about a minute and a half). He is still going to be “imagining” a Metal band’s video as he is walking and listening to his MP3 player. I was thinking of asking permission of a band called Lord to use their music video, I’m pretty sure they aren’t signed yet so I think I might be able to get permission pretty easily. All throughout the time he is listening to his MP3 player he will be turning it up until it’s full blast, then the song gets to a really loud part and that is when he starts whincing in pain. He falls to his knees and tears out his headphones and holds his ears. It then goes into a first person view of him looking at the floor (the sound of white noise slowly fades in), it is now in black and white, he puts his hands on the floor in front of him (to establish that this is a FPV shot), he looks up. The camera is now looking at his face straight on with a slightly horrified look on his face and then cuts to black. That’s the first part of the film.

The second minute and a half will be all in black and white and have a Drone Doom song that me and my friend made called Downward Cyclone playing. The guy walks around looking pretty pissed off that he is now deaf. He tries putting a CD of his into his CD player and playing it loudly but still cannot hear it, he puts other CDs in the player in a vain attempt to trigger his hearing again. We see him walk through his house when he notices a painting, he stands there and looks at it for a while and a smile starts to appear on his face, he looks at another piece of art and his smile grows larger. The colour then comes back and he turns around looking slightly more invigorated and walks towards the camera, then it cuts to black.

The colour is now super bright to give it that happy-clappy type look that most Hollywood Rom-coms have. The guy now walks around looking at everything taking in everything for it’s own beauty, he looks at things like pretty things that I can’t think of yet and closely looks at flowers and smells them. The guy is in ecstasy. There is a shot of him in the field (near my place) staring at the cloud paterns in the sky (will have to record this part on a nice day) smiling intently, he is now at peace. A girl then walks up to him and asks “What are you doing?” He doesn’t turn around and replies with “Just looking at the beauty of it all.” He then turns around suddenly, shocked and exclaims “Wait, what!?” and then cuts to black quickly.

Well there we go. That’s what I have been thinking about for this film for the past few weeks. Apart from the last part, I literally thought up that bit as I was writing, I think it’s pretty good.

Just what the title says. I have reworked my script quite a lot thanks to help from Christobel and Christobel. I think this version of the script is far better than the last, it has a lot more dialogue which makes it a lot better and now the actors don’t have to focus on expressions as much (although there is still a bit of that in there). I even changed the ending again to one more similar to the original! Pretty much making my previous post about FINALLY HAVING AN ENDING a lie also.

I will post the script to MegaUpload when I am SURE it is finished just incase you do actually want to read it.

For now, take my word that it is shaping up into an epic tale of fantasy and wonder and gun shots to the head.
